Sustainability Work
Behind the scenes at Cirkus in Stockholm, there’s a kind of work that isn’t meant to dazzle – yet matters more than any show.
We take responsibility for the environment, for people, and for the future, so that the applause can continue for generations to come.
It’s all about respect – for our history, for this place, and for those who will follow. Every day, both on stage and behind it, we work actively to reduce our environmental impact with the same dedication we bring to every performance.
ISO-Certified for the Future
As of July 26, 2022, Cirkus Venues is proudly certified according to ISO standards – a testament to our long-term commitment to reducing environmental impact and running a more sustainable business.
But certification isn’t a finish line – it’s a new act. To keep it, we must continue to evolve, improve, and rethink. Just like in every performance.

Sustainability Policy
To ensure that our entire ensemble – from kitchen to office – is moving in the same direction, we follow a shared sustainability policy. It guides our everyday decisions, big and small, and applies to every company within the Cirkus Venues family on Djurgården.

The Green Heart of Djurgården
We are proud to be part of Royal Djurgården – named one of the world’s most sustainable urban destinations and awarded the prestigious Green Destinations Platinum Award. Djurgården is celebrated for its work in nature, culture, social sustainability, and hospitality, proving that magic can be created without straining the planet.
Here, surrounded by oaks and applause, we continue doing our part so that both audience and earth can thrive.
