About the show
This fall, Albin Lee Meldau is going on a concert hall tour named 'Hommage på svenska'. Albin and his musicians will play favorites from his own repertoire but also from our treasure of songs with music from, among others, Fred Åkerström, Cornelis Vreeswijk, and Alf Robertson. These will be intimate, warm concerts that are unplugged, and the musicians will switch between different instruments to create a musical variety that, together with Albin's voice, will offer all the colors the Swedish song contains.
'It will be so much fun to take these fantastic musicians on tour and share my absolute favorites from my own songs but also some music from these legendary songwriters. When we planned this tour, we envisioned the sound of the 60s, which was a bit more acoustic. I am very much looking forward to meeting my audience in the concert halls this fall.'
The band consists of Simon Söfelde (bandleader, guitar), Kalle Stenbäcken (piano + drums), Jon Henriksson (double bass), Axel Croné (clarinet, saxophone & flute), Amelie Evmark (violin, vocals), and Manuela Ferrão (cello), Joakim Rolandsson (woodwinds).
