Archive: Unveiling of the Povel Ramel Statue

About the show
On May 31 at 16:00, Povel Ramel's children unveilLotta and Mikael Ramel a bronze sculpture, created by Lasse Åberg, depicting Povel outside Cirkus to the tunes of the jazz band 8 & 1/2.
Povel Ramel was one of Sweden's great revue writers, composers, pianists, and comedians.
He became known for his knäpp-upp revues, his witty songs with clever, daring lyrics.
It is Mats Bodin from the Povel Ramel Society who has initiated the tribute.
Mats will also talk about Povel together with Anders Eldeman, also from the Povel Ramel Society, and Carl Jan Granqvist.
This is also highlighted at Hasselbacken, serving a tribute menu in Povel's spirit, composed by head chef Patrik Malmén, after the unveiling.
