About the show

He has been called one of the best, a fantastic columnist, and so skilled that it's impossible not to love his standup. Now, audience favorite Carl Stanley celebrates ten years as a standup comedian with the solo performance “Excuse My Scanian”. It will be a standup show with humor from the heart, about, among other things, deer, children, jeans, marriage, a theft, and truly becoming an adult.
“Excuse My Scanian” premiered at Lund's City Theatre on 28/2 2025, and it is now clear that the tour will be extended during 2026 with several extra performances and new locations.

How has it been to create the show?
-It has felt like I'm on tour with the best show I've written so far, and it's been a nice feeling. The audience's reactions during and after the performances have been stronger than before. I often remind myself that the audience has given me an evening and that it's important to cherish it. So when it feels like I've succeeded, I feel happy, says Carl.

What does it give you to be on stage night after night?

-Being on stage night after night gives me the opportunity to improve the show and develop a strong relationship with the material. This is the end of the process where what I've worked on is to be performed, and I want to be as focused as I can and try to ensure I deliver every night. It's special to see people laugh all over the country and really feel that we're socializing, even though we don't really know each other, says Carl.
