Archive: Christmas Concert with Amason and Staffan Westerberg - A Christmas Tale

About the show
What would Christmas be without a stable boy?
This year, Amason is doing a series of Christmas concerts where they mix Christmas songs with their own material. They also combine it with a Christmas tale, newly written and narrated by the icon Staffan Westerberg.
– Staffan Westerberg possesses a voice and a storytelling style that always touches us. We are so glad he agreed to collaborate, says Amason.
With the help of Staffan Westerberg's unmistakable expression in text along with Amason's music on stage, the audience will be presented with both soft and hard gifts at a series of Christmas concerts in December, premiering at Cirkus in Stockholm on December 3.
– We will give an Amason-style version of a Christmas concert, where we mix our own repertoire with interpretations of traditional Christmas music, says Amason about the Christmas concert where they perform music live on stage and where Staffan Westerberg participates digitally.
– In a troubled time, it feels comforting to embrace the institutional, the recurring, like the moon and Christmas. But what would Christmas be without a stable boy? Staffan Westerberg possesses a voice and a storytelling style that always touches us. We are so glad he agreed to collaborate.
– You could say it will be a Christmas tale that has capsized, says Staffan Westerberg about the text he has specially written and recorded for the concerts.
Everything is framed by animations signed by Amason's cover and video maker Tobias Centerwall, who has been responsible for Amason's visual world since day one.
