For almost two decades, Daniel Norgren has worked independently and exclusively through Östra Frölunda-based Superpuma Records. Most recently contributed all music to the film “The Eight Mountains” from 2022. Based on the novel by Paolo Cognetti, the film tells the story of friendship, love, and self-discovery amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Italian Alps.
Norgren's musical contributions to the film help create an atmospheric and emotional backdrop for the narrative. Garnering worldwide success and accolades; winner of the Crystal Pine Award for ‘Best Use of Music’ at the International Sound & Film Music Awards and winner of best picture, best adapted screenplay, and best film at Italy's 68th David di Donatello Awards.
