About the show
As a completely unique musical phenomenon, Dirty Loops powerfully swept in with their unmistakable hybrid of funk, jazz fusion, and soul pop over 10 years ago when they had their big breakthrough via YouTube.
The old friends Jonah, Aron, and Henrik initially made jazz fusion covers of pop hits from stars like Adele, Justin Bieber, and Avicii, which generated millions of listens and fans worldwide. Dirty Loops early on set 'musicianship' in a completely new context when people realized that it is possible to make incredibly complex music and at the same time make it sound simple, delightful, and infectiously groovy. The individual performances in the band have generated an almost cult-like status for each band member from the fans, where it has been established time and again that Jonah, Aron, and Henrik play in a completely different league with their music.
Quincy Jones took them under his wings early on, and they have toured with acts like Maroon 5. The debut album Loopified was released in 2014, and six years later, the follow-up Phoenix was released, closely followed by the Cory Wong collaboration Turbo in 2021.
Now, according to many, one of the world's leading rhythm sections, with Henrik on electric bass and Aron on drums, fronted by Jonah's magical singing and keyboard playing, in a soundscape filled with new harmonies and melodies, the Dirty Loops universe is something different and entirely their own.
It has been many years since the group last performed in their hometown of Stockholm, and we are therefore particularly looking forward to this opportunity to experience one of the world's leading live bands at Cirkus on May 27!
