About the show
Emil Jensen made one of the summer's most noted and acclaimed tours when he turned words into action and completed his entire summer tour by bicycle – 400 miles and 37 performances around Sweden. Every meter by bicycle, as a personal and concrete manifestation for the climate. Now this fall, it will be the train from Malmö in the south to Umeå in the north with the new show "Still the Forest Whispers" about biodiversity and the ingenious life on earth.
– Among all the alarm reports, we need a reminder report about the fantastic life we have, about the planet we so dearly want to keep, so we don't forget what we are fighting for. This is my tribute to all life forms that have no voice, to all who are not yet born, says Emil himself about the show.
Emil has been praised for his Summer Talks and Winter Talks on the radio, and his live performances have been described as just summer talks on stage, where his treasure of songs is interspersed with personal stories, poetry, and comedy.
It will be a full evening show in two acts about the trees, the seas, the rivers, the fungi, and the human animal. – My hope is to instill some courage, comfort, and action in a dark time. When pandemics, wars, and climate crises succeed each other, it is more important than ever to dare to think long-term and act now. Environmental commitment has run like a green thread through Emil's life as both an artist and an activist.
