Archive: Europe - 40th Anniversary Tour

About the show
This year marks 40 years since the Swedish rock icons Europe released their self-titled debut album, and to celebrate, the band is going on tour this fall! On October 9, the band returns to home turf for a performance at Cirkus in Stockholm.
Europe has sold millions of albums, and the legendary “The Final Countdown” reached number one in 25 countries in 1986. The band received an award from YouTube last year for being the first Swedish band ever to get one billion(!) views on a song.
The “Time-Capsule” tour will consist of 18 concerts in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Norway, Sweden, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Including two nights at the famous London Palladium. These anniversary concerts will consist of old hits, the band's lesser-known songs, and fan favorites from all their 11 studio albums.
Joey Tempest says:
“Thanks to you guys out there – we are honoured to still be here today, making records and touring the world. 40 years ago we had that dream and here we are 11 albums later. We look forward to seeing you all in September and October for this very special tour!”
