About the show
Despite Canadian Feist being one of the most influential indie artists of the past decades, she lacks true successors. It doesn't matter that six years have passed between albums or that colleagues have hopelessly tried to recreate her expression – Feist competes only with herself. Her distinctive folk-pop is as restrained as it is powerful. Sometimes rhythmic and unexpected, sometimes restrained and whispering, but always hypnotic and striking. And the lyrics, winding and dancing, are carried by a voice that seems to be equipped with a homing precision.
Three decades have passed since Feist first made herself heard as a singer in the collective Broken Social Scene, and since then she has blessed the world with six outstanding solo albums. The latest is called 'Multitudes' and was released recently. Born from two life-changing events, having a daughter and losing a father, Feist manages to capture both the darkness and light of life in what can almost be described as a collection of lullabies.
