Archive: Gregory Alan Isakov - Appaloosa Bones Tour

About the show
Gregory Alan Isakov is highly topical with the latest single The Fall from his upcoming album Appaloosa Bones, which will be released in August. Appaloosa Bones will be his first album release in five years and follows the critically acclaimed Evening Machine. This fall, he goes on the Appaloosa Bones Tour!
With music that breathes both now and then, Gregory Alan Isakov has created something completely new, and songs like Big Black Car, The Stable Song, San Luis, and Amsterdam have been played millions of times. His unique mix of music styles like folk and indie has made Isakov a favorite worldwide, not least here in Sweden.
The upcoming Appaloosa Bones Tour will be released on August 18 and is expected to be Isakov's most intimate album to date. The eleven songs on the album are full of lush harmonies and layers of instrumental textures that blend guitar, banjo, piano, and several different keyboards. There are even some songs with a classic repeating chorus, which is not always a standard feature in Isakov's music.
“I’m always the campfire song ruiner,” says Isakov, “I love a chorus, I’m a huge pop music fan, but I don’t usually think of songs like verse-chorus-bridge. They’re sort of just a ride, you know? I hope they take the listener some place different than where they started.”
The beautiful single The Fall was recently released, and more music is coming soon from Gregory Alan Isakov.
