After having taken numerous international stages over several decades, it is clear that one of Sweden's greatest and most famous heavy metal bands of all time, HammerFall, is back to tour the country. This time with their twelfth and latest album “Hammer of Dawn” which has been praised by both fans and music critics. The Swedish band has shared the stage with, among others, Iron Maiden, Rammstein, and Dio during their career.
– After summer, autumn, and winter on the roads of the world, it is time to turn our eyes homeward. We are insanely charged for this Swedish Brotherhood 2023 tour. It has been way too long since we toured in our homeland.
HammerFall has released twelve studio albums and is now current with the latest album Hammer of Dawn, which was released earlier this year and has been well received by their Templars of Steel. During 2022, HammerFall, together with Helloween, has toured the world under the name “United Forces,” which is now put on hold for a tour around Sweden! The tour kicks off in March 2023 as below. Tickets are released on November 11.
The Gothenburg-bred heavy metal band was founded in 1993 and today consists of members Joacim Cans, Oscar Dronjak, Fredrik Larsson, Pontus Norgren, and David Wallin. HammerFall's debut album “Glory to the Brave,” released 25 years ago, took the metal genre by storm, and the band quickly became popular. “Glory to the Brave” was the starting point for a long and successful career that has yet to reach its end.
Since the band started, HammerFall has had constant national as well as international success with, among other things, multiple Grammy nominations, over 300 million streams on Spotify, and over 3,000,000 physical records. In 2002, HammerFall released their most famous song “Hearts On Fire,” which became the Swedish women's curling team's signature song on the way to Olympic gold four years later. The same year, the band performed during the opening ceremony of the European Athletics Championships in their hometown.
