25 years after HippHipp! exploded like a comedy bomb in Sweden, it is now clear that comedians Anders Jansson and Johan Wester will reunite in 2026 for a major Swedish tour with the newly written comedy show 'HippHipp Live!'. For the first time, the two friends will take their almost cult-status characters Tiffany Persson, Kajan, Morgan Pålsson, and Itzhak on the road. The new comedy show premieres at home in Lund on September 24 and will then be performed around the country in 14 cities. On January 20-31, 2027, Anders and Johan will come to Cirkus!

'HippHipp Live!' will be very recognizable but absolutely not just a nostalgia trip. It will feature stand-up-like monologues and improvisation mixed with thrilling dialogues and direct interactions with the audience – a format where the characters not only return but are also tested in our contemporary times. What happens when Tiffany, Kajan, and Itzhak are forced to grapple with everything from dating apps and sleep apnea to grandchildren and activity bracelets?

– It's a special feeling to bring our characters to life again, but now on stage. We are curious about what has happened to them over the years, and how they relate to the world today. For us, it's both a dear reunion and a fun experiment. It's both familiar and completely new at the same time – and the audience gets to come along on the journey, says Johan Wester.

– That I will once again get to be on stage with Johan and our characters feels incredibly fun – like finding our way back to a creative playground. We know the audience loves the recognition, but the unique thing is that we can create something new together every night – in the moment, in front of the audience's eyes, says Anders Jansson.

When the comedy program 'HippHipp!' premiered on SVT in the fall of 2001, it marked the start of a new era in Swedish comedy. With characters like Staffanstorp's pride Tiffany Persson, fire safety instructor Kaj-Åke Kajan Hansson, musicologist Itzhak Skenström, host Mike Higgins, and world reporter Morgan Pålsson, Johan and Anders mixed sketches with popular recognition, unexpected twists, and satire. The series became enormously popular and established the comedians as some of Sweden's funniest.

Despite the great success, there has actually never been a Swedish tour for HippHipp!. Next year – 25 years after the breakthrough – it's finally time! In the fall of 2026, 'HippHipp Live!' premieres, a dazzling show that for the first time takes the humor and madness that the audience has come to love HippHipp! for, out on the country's biggest stages.

– It feels like we are finally going to open a present that we gave to ourselves 25 years ago. We remember what's in the package but don't really know how it will clash with the present time we are in now. This is going to be incredibly exciting, not least for us, says Anders.

– For natural reasons, many associate HippHipp! with filmed sketches, but what not everyone might know is that Anders and I are actually best live. We love being on stage, performing with each other, creating in the moment, and taking care of the audience. We also become better together, says Johan.

The show 'HippHipp Live!' premieres on September 24 at Sparbanken Skåne Arena Lund and will then be performed in 14 cities around the country during the fall of 2026 and winter of 2027. There will be tour stops in, among others, Norrköping, Stockholm, Varberg, and Kalmar.
