Icona Pop hosts an exclusive club night at Cirkus in Stockholm
In September, Icona Pop released their second studio album “Club Romantech”. And now it's clear that the album concept will also become a real club. On February 24, 2024, Icona Pop will host their own night at Cirkus in Stockholm where, in addition to performing live themselves, they will present performances with a number of guest artists and DJs.
If anyone knows how to party, it's Icona Pop. They have toured clubs all over the world more or less continuously since their debut in 2011.
This bodes well for what's to come. On February 24, their own club vision Club Romantech will come to life. The club is described as an extension of the album concept of the same name, where they get the opportunity to realize ideas that don't fit into a music release. In addition to performing themselves, a number of other artists and DJs will take the stage and the turntables.
“We've been longing to do our own show in Stockholm since long before lockdown. And now to take over such a classic venue as Cirkus, where we've seen so many amazing concerts ourselves, and set up our own concept, our own club night, the way we want it to be, is of course a dream come true! We've been inspired over the past ten years by touring and playing everywhere from arenas to small secret clubs at seven in the morning. We want to bring a little from all those parts! As usual with Icona Pop – Clubby, bittersweet, glittery, poppy, dark, and romantic. We're really going to do everything we can to create a completely unique and magical night,” says Icona Pop themselves about the concept.
