Je m'appelle Agneta

About the show
Step into Emma Hamberg's fantastic universe as the hit novel becomes theater. A liberating and inspiring performance about the female body, friendship, cultural clashes, embracing life, the freedom to be oneself and do as one wishes!
When Emma Hamberg's novel 'Je m’appelle Agneta' was released in 2021, the success was a fact. The story of a woman breaking free from the dull shackles of everyday life and starting to enjoy life contains both longing and recognition. The book has been loved by readers and sold over 350,000 copies. In the fall of 2024, the immensely popular 'Je m’appelle Agneta' finally became theater, and what a success it was!
The female perspective is entirely in focus just like in the highly praised book. The lead actors Anna Granath and Bengt CW Carlsson meet on stage as Agneta and Einar.
After two sold-out seasons and over 50,000 tickets sold, the theater version of Emma Hamberg's novel Je m’appelle Agneta returns this fall, now with Bengt CW Carlsson in the role of Einar.
Warm welcome!
The performance is approximately 2.5 hours including intermission.
