About the show

Joel Alme is back – new music today and tour in the fall

Joel Alme is back with the single “Give me something that gives me something” – the new album “Mind your own business so I won't mind mine” is coming October 7.

At the same time, it is now clear that there will be a long-awaited tour in the fall.

Resonant, melancholic, and melodic folk rock as it can only sound in the hands of Joel Alme. “Give me something that gives me something” is the first taste from the new album “Mind your own business so I won't mind mine” which will be released on October 7.

Joel Alme about the song:
– We used to often play ‘That Summer Feeling’ by Jonathan Richman with my first band about 20 years ago. I love that song but it's probably only now that I understand it, you have to have gathered some memories before they can start chasing you. This song is about just that and saying goodbye to a world that will never come back but being glad that it existed.

After three English-language and two Swedish-language records, Joel Alme will release his sixth album “Mind your own business so I won't mind mine” on October 7. During the summer, Alme will join as support on Lars Winnerbäck's large outdoor arena tour across Sweden and in the fall a tour awaits.
Just like on the predecessors, he has recorded with producer Mattias Glavå. The first release from the album is the bittersweetly retrospective single “Give me something that gives me something”.

About Joel Alme: Born and raised in Gothenburg. In 2009, he wrote IFK Göteborg's new entrance song, “Snart skiner Poseidon”, which replaced the previous “Heja Blåvitt”. Joel has been a member of the band Spring in Paris and played bass in Hästpojken. The debut album “Master of Ceremonies” was released in 2008.
