Archive: LAIBACH - Love is still alive

About the show
The legendary enigmatic prophets Laibach are back with the first post-Covid tour!
AIT Music Production and Goldenzwaig Creative Solutions are pleased to present LAIBACH at Nya Cirkus, Stockholm.
Forty years since their inception in Slovenia – at that time Yugoslavia – Laibach is the most internationally acclaimed band from the Central European former communist countries. Laibach was founded in the industrial town of Trbovlje in 1980, the same year the then Yugoslav leader Tito passed away. Laibach has consistently opposed labels of any kind, neither industrial, rock, nor techno: They want the listener to think, dance, and march to the same music. In 2015, they made history by being the first Western rock band ever to perform in North Korea, with extraordinary interpretations of songs from the world-famous ‘Sound of Music’
In 2021, Laibach releases not just one, but two new albums. The song ‘Love is Still Alive’ was created for the famous sci-fi comedy ‘Iron Sky – The Coming Race‘. The EP ‘Love is Still Alive’ is an apocalyptic soundtrack to the end of the world, with only a small number of people surviving and cruising around the universe heading towards Mars.
It is followed by ‘Wir sind das Volk‘ (We Are The People), music based on texts by the renowned German writer and poet Heiner Müller. Laibach will perform a selection of songs from this musical. And of course, there will also be many guaranteed treats from Laibach's extensive catalog.
Not to be missed!
