When sisters Rebecca and Megan took the stage under the name Larkin Poe in 2010, it was with an ambition to revive blues rock. The recipe was a combination of heavy rock, Southern blues, and intensely soulful singing in a contemporary package. Also, not least, the very special interplay between Rebecca's guitar and lead vocals and Megan's heavenly harmonies and innovative lap steel. Today, almost fifteen years later, it can be stated that the mission is accomplished. Larkin Poe has toured all over the world, released seven acclaimed albums, been nominated for a Grammy, topped the Billboard chart, and above all contributed to making blues rock relevant again.
But this does not stop Larkin Poe from looking forward and continuing to refine roots music. Without compromising their deep roots in American music, the Lovell sisters have chosen to focus on further developing their storytelling on the upcoming album 'Bloom', which will be released on January 24. 'Bloom' consists of a collection of songs permeated by introspection and sincerity where the narratives are more personal than ever as everything from individuality to self-acceptance is addressed. An approach that can be heard on the two previews 'Bluephoria' and 'If God Is A Woman' that have already been shared. With the upcoming album in tow, the famously energetically powerful live act Larkin Poe comes to Cirkus in Stockholm on October 29.2025. Tickets release Friday, October 25 at 11:00 AM!
