About the show
For more than five decades, Los Kjarkas have revolutionized Andean music, embracing the richness of traditional folk rhythms and instruments and creating their own sound, which has represented several generations of people in the Andean countries. Their soulful melodies, sublime vocal harmonies, and expressive lyrics have won fans throughout Latin America and beyond.
Their song “Llorando Se Fue” was used by Kaoma to create the global hit “Lambada,” which was later adapted by several international artists into many hits. Other songs have become anthems for many people in and outside Bolivia.
For half a century, Los Kjarkas have traveled the world and performed more than 6,000 concerts in Latin America, North America, Europe, and Asia, presenting their distinctive sound to audiences worldwide.
