Cancelled! Luke Elliot - Solo in Sweden

About the show
The new album “The Big Wind” was immediately equally acclaimed when it was released in April and received, among other things, a rating of 5 out of 5 in Rolling Stone Magazine and 4 out of 5 in the classic magazine Mojo. “The Big Wind” has a bold structure and a touch of film noir, reminiscent of Tom Waits and Nick Cave. At the same time, the production is, besides cinematic, modern in an elegant way.
Luke Elliot has accumulated a large number of fine comparisons with roots, folk, and rock icons such as Hank Williams, Big Joe Turner, Bob Dylan, Elmore James, and PJ Harvey. His almost cinematic music is both elegant and down-to-earth and is performed with bold sensitivity, poetic lyrics, eerie, epic stories, and a voice that exudes vulnerability with much patina.
Luke Elliot has previously released an EP, as well as the debut album “Dressed for the Occasion”, which was produced by indie icon John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Kurt Vile). The album was widely critically acclaimed. Luke was born and raised in New Jersey, but his development as an artist has taken place throughout the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut). By now, Luke has established himself as an artist on an international level and has toured extensively in the USA, Australia, and European countries such as Germany, Austria, Greece, Switzerland, and Norway.
While waiting for Luke to tour with his band again, he now returns to Sweden for a unique solo tour.
When Luke Elliot played in Sweden in 2018, Kvällsposten's Olle Berggren called the performance a “HISTORIC MALMÖ CONCERT” in capital letters, and continued “We may have experienced the best concert of the year at Folk å Rock”. Don't miss the chance to experience this acclaimed artist live when he finally returns to Sweden!
