According to a study, contemporary pop is sadder than ever, but the question is, is anyone better at being sad than Lykke Li? Most of us are familiar with feelings like heartbreak, longing, and the fear of being alone, but few manage to sing about them with the same uncynical clarity as Lykke Li. She seems to be in a constant pendulum swing between power and powerlessness, but whether she has made updated girl-group pop like on the debut 'Youth Novels' (2008), rhythmically driven blues like on 'Wounded Rhymes' (2011), crying ballads like on 'I Never Learn' (2014), or melancholic, alternative R&B like on the latest album 'so sad so sexy' (2018), the common thread remains her inimitable ability to convey the greatest of emotions – seemingly without any filter. And it is this rawness that has placed Lykke Li in the exclusive group of Swedish artists with devoted listeners all over the world.
Now, four years after the last album, it is finally time for new music from Lykke Li. We have already been treated to the intimate NO HOTEL, which today was followed up by the powerful HIGHWAY TO YOUR HEART. On May 20, the new visual album EYEYE will be released, where the music will be accompanied by visual elements. We can now announce that Lykke Li will be performing at Cirkus in Stockholm on October 17
