About the show

Magnus Carlson, who has fronted Weeping Willows for decades, made a hit with “Den långa vägen hem” in 2017 – the album was praised in the media and went straight to the top of the charts. This was followed by a sold-out club tour and an extensive summer tour around the country. Now, after careful consideration and searching for the right musicians, Magnus has found what he was looking for for his new project.

– I have long planned to make new soulful music in Swedish. It just took me a while to figure out how and with which musicians. This spring, I got the chance to see Jesper Lindell and his band in Gothenburg. The concert was superb and the band wonderful! I was also invited on stage, and together we sang The Temptations' song “My Girl”. Right then and there, I knew I had found the ones I wanted to make my new album with. And the band was eager to make music with me too, says Magnus Carlson.

Jesper Lindell and his band are in an intense period with a series of singles, an EP, and no less than two albums. In January 2022, the album “Twilights” was released, which has been praised in Swedish and international press. With over a hundred performances in Sweden and around Europe since the release of Twilight in March 2022, Jesper Lindell and his band are establishing themselves as some of Europe's hottest on the rock and soul scene – with a reputation for being perhaps Sweden's most organic and best live band right now.
After some time in Jesper Lindell's studio Brunnsvik Sounds in Dalarna, the album is recorded the way Magnus has long wanted to do. This fall, the music is ready to be released, and together they embark on a tour with a mix of new and old songs.

Jesper Lindell and his band consist of:
Jesper Lindell – guitar, vocals
Anton Lindell – bass
Simon “Cosmos” Wilhelmsson – drums
Carl Michael Junior Lindvall – piano
Jimmy Reimers – guitar, trumpet
Rasmus Fors – organ, keys
