About the show
After meeting his tough Serbian woman and starting a family, Mårten Andersson gets quite lost in his masculinity. Macho culture meets softie culture, resulting in lots of funny clashes and new insights. Mårten discovers a lively, crazy Balkan where even the pets smoke, and Stasha encounters a square, reserved Sweden where silence is expected in the bus queue. Additionally, the couple's age difference starts to become quite noticeable.
In 2024, Mårten Andersson embarks on an extended Sweden tour with his third solo show, Mårten Cvetkovic, which has been praised nationwide by both audiences and critics. It's a true feel-good performance based on a genuine and authentic story about dreams, love, life with young children, prejudices, and humanity. The show also addresses what it's like to come to Sweden as an immigrant and, for Mårten, about life as an involuntary househusband and the fear of becoming a grumpy, visually impaired, and sitting-down-to-pee Swedish old man.
Don't miss the warmest comedy show of the year!
Press reviews about Mårten Cvetkovic
“I laugh until tears flow almost the entire 90 minutes. Mårten skillfully switches between Swedish and immigrant Swedish and is extremely responsive to loud audience comments from an auditorium that, when I see the show, is almost half composed of people with Balkan backgrounds. They seem to love the show the most. Without Mårten being preachy, there is also an underlying empathetic message here, that we should all be able to live with each other, regardless of origin or sexual orientation.” Jan´Olov Andersson, Aftobladet
“Mårten Cvetkovic – standup at its best” On Stage
“Serbs, Iranians, Syrians, Croats, Muslims, Somalis, and of course Swedes – no one escapes the prejudices with brutal humor. The audience seems to love the show” News Agency Järva
