The singer, pianist, and guitarist Melody Gardot is coming to Sweden! In 2020, she released her latest album “Sunset in the Blue” which includes the critically acclaimed single “From Paris With Love”. On June 1st, she will perform at Cirkus in Stockholm!

Gardot has a remarkable story and has struggled with severe adversities throughout her life. Her first EP “Some Lessons” was written in the hospital after a serious traffic accident, and she says that her love for music became her best form of therapy. After spending several months in the hospital, she found the strength and motivation to pursue her music career.
In 2007, she released her debut album “Worrisome Heart” which was praised by critics, and she was compared to greats like Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell, and Eva Cassidy. Two years later, she released the follow-up “My One and Only Thrill” which topped the Billboard US Jazz Albums chart. Her third album “The Absence” was released in 2012 and placed in the top 30 on the Billboard 200.
Her music is strongly influenced by R&B, blues, and jazz in a set of original and conscious songs – which her latest album “Sunset in the Blue” is proof of. On the single “From Paris With Love”, Gardot handpicked musicians from 30 different countries to create a global orchestra. It was recorded during COVID-19 and released with a video aimed at raising funds for healthcare workers and spreading awareness about those struggling in the arts.
