About the show
Nassif Zeytoun is a Syrian artist who developed a love for music from an early age. He pursued his passion by studying oriental music and theater at the Higher Institute of Music, the conservatory. In 2010, he won Star Academy and achieved the highest voting percentage in the competition's history.
A year later, he participated in a concert for world peace, under the supervision of international music producers Quincy Jones and RedOne, and signed a management contract with Music Is My Life.
In 2013, he released his debut album “Ya Samt”, which was produced by “Watary”, Music Is My Life's sister company. His debut album was a success, as evidenced by winning the Murex D’Or for Best Rising Arabic Singer. “Ya Samt” was the first Arabic album to exceed one hundred million streams on YouTube, and Nassif was the first Arabic singer to use the lyric video concept to promote his music.
Nassif believes that the secret behind his success is hard work, perseverance, and constant communication with his fans, which is evident in his high frequency of interactivity on his profiles and platforms. He released the single “Nami Aa Sadri” in 2015, which topped the charts across the Arab world and was the most popular/downloaded song on the Anghami application.
In 2016, he released his follow-up album titled “Toul El Yom”, exclusively on Anghami at a rate of one song per day. This was another first for an artist in the Arab world. The album dealt with traditional songs and played on the style of the lyrics, composition, and arrangement. It was the first album of its kind to receive a full digital release, with only a few physical copies released exclusively for special occasions. The album's successes led to Nassif winning “Album of the Year” from iTunes and Apple Music, the “Phenomenon of the Year” award, and “Best Album 2016” at the Arab Nation Music Awards, in addition to “Best Young Arabic Singer” and “Best Album” at the Murex D’Or.
Nassif's success extends to his social media profiles and platforms, with over 700 million views on his YouTube channel and millions of streams on Anghami, as well as 5 million followers on his Facebook page. He surprises his fans with new songs dedicated to all women in the Arab world on International Women's Day and Mother's Day. Nassif's ticket sales topped the quarter-million mark in the summer of 2017, placing him among the top billing names in the Arabic music scene and proving the power of digital reach and interaction with fans.
During the challenging times of the Corona pandemic, Nassif Zeytoun released “Ya Aasal” in a live session on YouTube with his fans. “Kezbe Wara Kezbe” was selected by Spotify for a major promotional campaign that resulted in it topping all three charts on YouTube. “Enti W Ana” was selected by Anghami for a broad campaign in the app along with a competition that sparked the interest of his fans, leading to non-stop listening. At the end of 2020, Anghami announced that Nassif Zeytoun was the most streamed artist on their platform after the legendary Fayrouz.
In the same year, Nassif reached a major milestone by selling out two consecutive nights at the Carthage International Festival, with over 20,000 fans in attendance. At the end of 2022, Nassif released “Bel Ahlam”, a slow romantic song that became the latest hit in the MENA region. Just a few months after the release, Nassif surpassed 2 billion views on his official YouTube channel, which he celebrated with his fans around the world in a dedicated video.
At the beginning of 2023, a devastating earthquake struck Syria and Turkey, resulting in thousands of Syrian people losing their lives. In response, Nassif released a moving song called “Denyi Men Sawad” to raise funds to help the families affected by the disaster in his homeland Syria.
