No business like show business

About the show
In 2027, it's time for the musical concert No Business Like Show Business to come to Cirkus, and it will be an afternoon filled with great emotions, quick turns, humor, and warmth.
On stage are Rickard Söderberg, Malena Ernman, Johan Hwatz, Kim Bergkvist, Fredrik Sjöstedt, and Kristina Hahne, six strong stage personalities with clear expressions and great presence. Together they create a concert where it's not just about singing beautifully, but about storytelling, landing in the text, and letting each number have its own tone and color. Here, there is both power, playfulness, and that fingertip feeling that makes an audience truly listen.
The artists switch between solos where each person's distinctiveness takes center stage, and ensemble numbers where the interaction becomes the driving force. With choreography, dance, and tap, the concert gains additional energy and movement, and the expression becomes as visual as it is musical. When voices, rhythms, and stage presence meet, the dynamics are heightened, creating a tight, generous, and lively stage space, just as a musical should feel.
Between songs, the artists share small stories and glimpses from life on and behind the stage. This gives the concert a personal tone and a warm address, bringing the audience closer to both the music and the people performing it.
The concert moves freely through musical history: well-known classics are mixed with newer songs that surprise and feel here and now. The audience will hear songs from Chess, Les Misérables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Så som i himmelen, We Will Rock You, Joyride, Sweeney Todd, Rent, Phantom of the Opera, but also additional gems from "narrower" musicals. Plus, a completely new musical that has not yet been performed.
It will be a mix of quiet moments, grand ensemble numbers, and fast-paced elements with dance and tap as a really good musical concert should be.
