A stand-up comedy show about family life in the suburbs, cultural clashes, and breaking down prejudices

Over 40,000 Swedes saw the huge success Mårten Cvetkovic, and the show was bought by SVT where it has been seen by hundreds of thousands of Swedes. The show also won the award for “Show of the Year” at the Swedish Standup Gala 2024, competing with Henrik Schyffert, Måns Möller, and Petrina Solange. Now comes the long-awaited sequel – UNSWEDISH?

Comedian Mårten Andersson has always found himself in the borderland between row houses and rosaries, semi-skimmed milk and the Middle East, fika, falafel in a delightful mix. It is in this mix that he thrives best.

Unswedish is a loving tribute to all human differences and the art of picking the raisins from the world's cakes. It is also a show about family life in the suburbs, anger management, cultural clashes in everyday life, life with small children after 50, and much more.

Mårten's approach to life is that he feels like a world citizen rather than fully Swedish. This, of course, also permeates his humor. No one escapes; neither square Swedes nor the preschool Jordgubben.

How loudly can people from other cultures really talk on the phone in public spaces?

ABOUT MÅRTEN ANDERSSON

Mårten Andersson is a Grammy-nominated and multiple award-winning Swedish comedian. He won the award for “Show of the Year” at the Swedish Standup Gala 2024 for his critically acclaimed audience success Mårten Cvetkovic and has previously been named “Comedian of the Year” by Magazine Café's readers and also won the award for “Newcomer of the Year”, “MC of the Year” and also won a talent competition at the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York 2018. Mårten began his career on P3 at the age of 19 and then continued to ZTV, TV3, and Kanal 5 where he was a host for a number of different productions. His imitations in the P3 program Pippirull were Grammy-nominated for the album “Det e stabilt”. Mårten is also an entrepreneur and owns and runs RAW comedy club – Sweden's largest brand in humor.
