About the show
Saxon will not only perform songs from their well-received, recently released top 20 album Hell, Fire And Damnation, but also their entire classic second album Wheels of Steel (released 45 years ago). Additionally, the band will play other fan favorites and hits from their entire career.
The band's groundbreaking album Wheels of Steel has been frequently mentioned by many journalists as one of the classic albums every metal fan should own. Filled with iconic songs and heavy riffs, from the opening high-speed riffs of “Motorcycle Man,” Wheels of Steel delivers power from start to finish. From the infectious and perhaps greatest riff in the hit song “747 (Strangers in the Night)” to the more stripped-down, powerful title track “Wheels of Steel.” This is a unique opportunity to see one of the metal world's best albums performed from start to finish in all its glory.
Saxon's Biff Byford says: “We are really excited to go back to Europe early next year and wanted to do something special to mark the occasion. It was fantastic to be part of the Judas Priest tour, and we wanted to bring some of that spirit and energy to our next tour. What better way to do that than to play the first album that really broke through for us globally, Wheels of Steel, in its entirety. Of course, we will also play a range of hits and other fan favorites as well as songs from our new album Hell, Fire and Damnation.”
