“My Performance About Mom”, which premiered on tour in October 2024, is a funny and touching monologue about Sissela's mother Gunhild Kyle. She was brilliant, funny, gloomy, and a pioneer in women's studies. It is now confirmed that the tour will be extended during 2026 with more performances.
– It is so fantastic to meet the audience with the story of mom and her time. Many who see the performance go home and talk about their mothers and what they have experienced, says Sissela Kyle and continues:
– Gunhild was a pioneer in women's historical research and I tell and portray her path both deeply personally and from a societal development perspective. It is wonderful to hear the laughter and the concentrated silence in the audience. I have probably never been so proud of anything I've done.
