Swan Lake, originally performed in St Petersburg in 1895, is staged to Pyotr Tchaikovsky's immortal music and is one of the world's most popular ballet productions. In Swan Lake, the story is told of the young Prince Siegfried who falls deeply in love with the swan princess Odette – a young woman transformed into a white swan by the evil sorcerer Rothbart. This is a story of how true love conquers all.
