About the show
St. Petersburg is the cradle of the famous Russian ballet created by Marius Petipa in the 1900s. There are many famous theaters in St. Petersburg, such as Mariinsky and Mikhailovsky, but as they very rarely tour outside Russia, few of the world's ballet lovers ever get the chance to see the famous St. Petersburg ballet.
In 2009, the St. Petersburg Festival Ballet was created to tour Europe and the rest of the world. This was to share and represent the best traditions and spirit of the St. Petersburg ballet. Elegance, style, and delightful lightness are what make the St. Petersburg ballet special. It is strict classical elegance, a fresh breeze from the 2000s, a perfect dance performance combined with magnificent costumes and an unbeatable stage landscape by the world-renowned set designer Vyacheslav Okunev (Bolshoi Theatre, Mariinsky Theatre, La Scala).
Over the past five years, the St. Petersburg Festival Ballet has toured around Europe. First-class dancers and soloists, captivating stage design combined with impressive lighting design and wonderful music by Tchaikovsky – this is what the St. Petersburg Festival Ballet represents around the world.

Swan Lake is one of the most popular ballets and belongs to the international standard repertoire of classical ballet. The ballet is a brilliant work by a brilliant composer, Tchaikovsky, and has been a crowd-puller for centuries. A magical combination of Tchaikovsky's music and a captivating story of tragic romance where choreography allows the best dancers to show how impressive ballet can be. Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov's choreography gives both soloists and the entire dance ensemble room to shine. With the stage lit by moonlight, charged solos for the Prince and Odette and her alter ego Odile, as well as intrigues from Rothbart. This, combined with fantastic music, makes the evening full of inspiration and romance. A ballet feast with magic, drama, and tragedy, ending with the triumph of love.
