About the show
One of Sweden's biggest rock bands, Takida, is now embarking on a new Boxroom tour. The last time the band did a similar tour, it was a great success with full houses and an enthusiastic audience. Takida is now doing 21 performances around the country starting at Cirkus in Stockholm on February 15.
The band now reveals, as mentioned, that there will be a new Boxroom tour in February 2024. The Boxroom concept is a scaled-down concert hall tour with an intimate and close relationship with a seated audience. It is acoustic, beautiful, and grand at the same time, framed with extra strings and choirs. Simply magical.
“We felt that we wanted to do something different in Sweden next year and another Boxroom tour is something we've talked about for several years now. So damn fun that it's happening again and now we believe most people know what it's about. We're leaving the electric guitars at home. See you in February. Takida.”
Takida was formed in 1999 and with the debut album “Make You Breathe” (2006) they made a big breakthrough. The following year came the huge hit, the now classic single “Curly Sue”. The song stayed at the top of the Tracks chart for 10 weeks and on the Svensktoppen for a mighty 54 weeks. With the hit “Master”, the band became really big in Germany and also plays in arenas there.
