About the show

The success from Göta Lejon comes to Cirkus, Djurgården!

This is the moment - a historical musical journey through time, where some of Sweden's best singers perform the greatest musical classics in a historical context. With historian Herman Lindqvist on stage as the narrator, the audience gets a completely new experience – a musical journey under the wings of history.

The show's soloists are West End star Emmi Christensson from The Phantom of The Opera, musical legend Janne Åström, Spamalot's prima donna from London: musical artist Nina Söderquist, and opera tenor Kalle Leander. All accompanied by a large live band under the direction of conductor Johannes Annfält.

The evening offers the best songs from Jesus Christ Superstar, Vasa – the Musical, Kristina från Duvemåla, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof, Chess, and Hair – in their historical context
