Over 40,000 Swedes saw the huge success Mårten Cvetkovic and the show was bought by SVT where it has been watched by hundreds of thousands of Swedes. The show also won the award for “Show of the Year” at the Swedish Standup Gala 2024, competing with Henrik Schyffert, Måns Möller, and Petrina Solange. Now comes the eagerly awaited sequel – UNSWEDISH?

Comedian Mårten Andersson has always found himself in the borderland between townhouses and prayer beads, low-fat milk and the Middle East, fika, falafel in a delightful mix. It is in this mix that he thrives best.

Unswedish is a loving tribute to all people's differences and to the art of picking the raisins out of the world's cakes. It is also a show about family life in the suburbs, anger management, everyday cultural clashes, life with young children after 50, and much more.

Mårten's approach to life is that he feels like a world citizen rather than fully Swedish. This naturally permeates his humor as well. No one escapes; neither square Swedes nor the preschool Jordgubben.

How loudly can people from other cultures really talk on the phone in public spaces?

ABOUT MÅRTEN ANDERSSON

Mårten Andersson is a Grammy-nominated and multiple award-winning Swedish comedian. He won the award for “Show of the Year” at the Swedish Standup Gala 2024 for his critically acclaimed audience success Mårten Cvetkovic and has previously been named “Comedian of the Year” by Magazine Café's readers and also won the award as “Newcomer of the Year,” “MC of the Year” and also won a talent competition at Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York 2018. Mårten began his career at P3 at the age of 19 and then continued to ZTV, TV3, and Kanal 5 where he was the host for a number of different productions. His imitations in the P3 program Pippirull were Grammy-nominated for the album “Det e stabilt.” Mårten is also an entrepreneur and owns and runs RAW comedy club – Sweden's largest brand in humor.
