The album 'Allt jag Ville Säga' which includes the acclaimed single 'Evergreen' played extensively on P4 and praised by none other than Peter LeMarc as 'Fantastically good! Grand in an intimate and confidential way', the duet 'Saknat Dig Nog' with Maria Andersson from Sahara Hotnights, and the heart-breaking ballad 'Elin' described by Barometern as follows: 'Elin is a Swedish The River', a winding, insanely beautiful story. Both in terms of music and words. The text glides seamlessly between Swedish and English. Viktor Olsson sings - as usual - better than ever.
During the summer, Viktor traveled across the country with the initiative Trädgårdslive where artists performed at private homes in their gardens. All his performances were sold out from Bjärred to two sold-out shows at Partille Arena, and now after the album release, he is heading back on tour with a first stop at Folk å Rock in Malmö.
About Viktor Olsson:
In 2015, the then 22-year-old Viktor Olsson debuted with the album 'Stenungsund'. An album praised by both critics and listeners, with its lyrics about growing up in a small town and the longing to both stay and move on. The album was recorded during a summer on Gotland together with Peter Morén and Tobias Fröberg. TV appearances followed one after another and Viktor was named newcomer of the year by Mauro Scocco at the Swedish Music Publishers' Prize at the end of 2015. In the spring of 2016, Viktor released the single 'Mil av ljus' followed by the EP 'Alla lämnar till slut'. The single was produced by Måns Lundberg (Deportees, Håkan Hellström) and recorded in the legendary Atlantis studio in Stockholm. The same year, Viktor went on a Scandinavian concert hall tour as the opening act for Anna Ternheim.
In the fall of 2018, the self-titled album 'Viktor Olsson' was released. Barometern called the album 'Album of the Year in Swedish' and Göteborgs-Posten gave it 4 out of 5 lighthouses, and it also earned Viktor Olsson nominations for the GAFFA award as well as receiving the Live at Hearts songwriting scholarship.
