Archive: Visions of the Past - An Intimate Evening with First Aid Kit

About the show
Last year's shimmering album 'Palomino' was followed by a series of sold-out shows at large venues in both Europe and the USA, solidifying First Aid Kit's position as one of our time's most beloved Swedish bands. Starting at Pustervik in Gothenburg on October 30, the sister duo in First Aid Kit will embark on an intimate, stripped-down tour in the Nordics this fall, called 'Visions of the past'. Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 29 at 10:00 AM.
“We are so happy to finally announce our new tour: Visions of the Past. We will be doing a few selected intimate shows in Scandinavia this fall and winter. To celebrate that we have been making music for 16 years (!!), we will travel back in time with you. We will go on a journey from our very first EP Drunken Trees, to our latest album Palomino and beyond. We will throw in a lot of our favorite covers too. It will be a more stripped-down acoustic performance, just like it was when we started playing. This is something we have wanted to do for a long time and it feels so incredibly fun that it's finally happening! Really hope to see you! xx K & J”
The journey that First Aid Kit has made from the house in Svedmyra to the big stages is nothing short of sensational. Today, the sisters have over a billion streams, shelves full of awards, and thousands of miles in the tour bus – both in Europe and the USA – behind them. But despite the success, the deep love for music that once put the duo on everyone's lips seems just as sincere and unspoiled as when it all started 16 years ago. To celebrate this, First Aid Kit will conduct ten concerts in the Nordics this fall where listeners will enjoy songs from their entire career – everything from the debut EP 'Drunken Trees' (2008) to last year's universally acclaimed 'Palomino' and some of the sisters' most beloved covers.
There will be eight stripped-down, intimate, and absolutely fantastic evenings around Sweden. Be ready when tickets go on sale Friday, September 29 at 10:00 AM.
