Sustainability Policy
The historic Cirkus at Djurgården in Stockholm aims to be a haven for fun, socializing, and diverse thinking. Our ambition is to create extraordinary, quirky, and unexpected experiences, whether you come here for a concert, a dinner, or just a cup of coffee. For Cirkus to continue being a part of the entertainment industry for future generations, our sustainability work is of the highest priority, both in management and daily operations.

Scope
This policy outlines our focus areas and level of ambition within sustainability.
For us, sustainability means creating value and taking responsibility for people, the planet, and society. We support the principles of the UN Global Compact, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the Paris Agreement.
The policy guides our decision-making and daily work. It applies to all Cirkus Venues entities, the board, and all employees.
Our Responsibility
We are responsible for contributing to well-being, equal opportunities, and a reduced environmental footprint throughout our value chain. Based on our impact, stakeholder expectations, and external requirements, we have defined six focus areas for our sustainability work:
- Memorable Experiences
- Sustainable Food & Beverage
- Mutually Beneficial Partnerships
- Employer of Choice
- Innovative Development
- Resource Efficiency & Circularity
We continuously strive to improve. That means setting clear goals, assigning responsibility, allocating sufficient resources, and measuring our performance over time.
Cirkus Venues complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and collective agreements.
OUR FOCUS AREAS & GOALS
Memorable Experiences
Rooted in heritage and driven by innovation, we offer an extraordinary mix of experiences across our unique venues. Service, accessibility, and safety are top priorities.
Sustainable Food & Beverage
We offer exciting food and drink with low impact on climate and biodiversity. We prioritize regional and seasonal ingredients and work actively to reduce food waste.
Mutually Beneficial Partnerships
Together with our partners, we create the next generation of entertainment. We aim to be a trustworthy and thoughtful partner of choice – valuing long-term relationships and shared success.
Employer of Choice
We provide an inspiring, flexible, and inclusive workplace with fair conditions. We listen, share knowledge, and welcome diverse perspectives. We offer tools and room for growth and development.
Innovative Development
We explore what’s new. We look ahead, driven by creativity and technology. We continually evaluate how to make the most of new ideas and collaborate across teams – leading by example with strong governance.
Resource Efficiency & Circularity
We consider environmental impact in every decision and in our daily work. We continuously increase resource efficiency and contribute to a circular economy. Waste that cannot be avoided is handled responsibly and turned into new resources. We explore pathways to becoming a climate-neutral company.
Governance
The Cirkus Venues Board holds ultimate responsibility for implementing this policy and our sustainability efforts.
Every manager is responsible for ensuring that employees understand the policy and its implications for their roles. All employees must know how they contribute to our sustainability work, which is why Cirkus Venues offers ongoing sustainability training.
Everyone is encouraged – and expected – to share ideas for improvement and report any deviations or concerns. Reporting in good faith will never result in retaliation. All deviations are documented, and action plans are created to prevent recurrence.
